An asymmetric vase family in handmade lead-free crystal. Fine vertical ribs soften stems and whatever sits behind the glass into a shifting field.
The fine ribs behave like a lens, blurring stems and the room beyond into moving bands. An angled rim and rounded rectangular base make the silhouette change as the vase turns.

Iris Apfel was photographed holding the clear Mist vase for NUDE's A Singular Vision campaign. Her jewellery, clothing and flowers are pulled through the ribs, demonstrating the optical effect in a single commercial image.
VIEW THE NUDE CAMPAIGN ↗Developed years after the original vases, Mist Lights is a smaller multifunctional series designed first as candle holders. The same crystal surface multiplies a flame; unlit, the pieces can be used as mini vases or open containers.
