Mirage

Glass installation · Şişecam Flat Glass
01 / MIRAGE

Mirage stands for illusion and reality, light and matter, nature and transparency. In his glass works supported by Şişecam Flat Glass, Tamer Nakışçı explores the possibilities of using fire in our modern lives.

Merging two basic elements, glass and fire in a non-traditional way, Mirage glass screens create a holographic cloud of fire using only candlelight; creating a fascinating yet simple presence, tying the future to the past.

A collectable piece and an ongoing exploration, Mirage was first presented at Design Harbour in Hong Kong with the support of Şişecam Flat Glass.
